Highvale Netball Club (HNC) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our members, including players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and families. We manage personal information in accordance with:

  • The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
  • The Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) (where applicable)

Collection of Personal Information

All players, coaches, and umpires are required to register with Netball Victoria via Netball Connect (or the current registration platform). The information collected may include names, contact details, emergency contacts, medical information, and consents related to participation.

Use of Personal Information

HNC may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To confirm your registration with Netball Victoria
  • To obtain consent for the use of images in club promotions or publications
  • To ensure all members agree to abide by our Code of Conduct and other club policies
  • To distribute club-related communications, such as registration details, game schedules, AGM notices, and updates from the Waverley Night Netball Association
  • To assist with lost property returns
  • To provide coaches, team managers, and committee members with player lists to support team communication and organisation
  • To fulfil club operations and responsibilities in line with HNC’s mission and obligations

Disclosure of Information

HNC does not sell or share your personal information with third parties unless:

  • You have provided your explicit consent, or
  • Disclosure is required by law or permitted under relevant legislation

Access and Updating Your Information

You may request access to your personal information or ask for corrections by contacting the Club Secretary. The President, Secretary, and Treasurer may also assist with updating your details on the Netball Victoria registration platform, upon request.

Responsibility of Coaches and Team Managers

Coaches and team managers are required to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information they receive and only use it for club-related activities.
